Case note 08 / 13 · Fashion & ethnic wear

Vastranand

Festive campaigns that sell a feeling, not a product grid.

Campaign strategy · Emotional storytelling

01Overview

Where it started.

Collections were launching as catalogues — a run of product frames with no idea holding them together. In ethnic wear the purchase is emotional and occasion-driven, so a grid of garments leaves the strongest reason to buy unsaid.

Replaced catalogue-style launches with occasion-led campaign concepts — collection messaging, cultural context and social copy built around the emotion of the festival rather than the SKU count.

"Sell the occasion, not the SKU."

02Highlights

How it was built.

01

Found the emotion first

Every campaign started from one occasion, feeling or cultural insight, and nothing shipped that didn't serve it.

02

Named the campaign

A campaign name and message line gave the collection something to be remembered as, beyond a season.

03

Structured the launch

Tease, reveal and sustain phases replaced a single drop day, so the collection had a life longer than a post.

04

Directed the creative

Reel and carousel concepts were written alongside the copy so the visual carried the same emotion.

What it does now

Launches that are memorable rather than merely visible — a clear idea per collection that makes the range feel meaningful instead of merchandised.
